EPA’s Anti-Farm Collaboration
Save Family Farming filed a FOIA with the EPA to see what interactions the agency has had with anti-farming activists such as Charlie Tebbutt, Friends of Toppenish Creek, Center for Food Security, etc. We received over 150 files which illustrated the timeline and frequency of the EPA’s coordinated meetings with these activists. From Save Family Farming’s perspective, we absolutely support farm operations being conducted in a sustainable and environmentally sound manner. But we believe the EPA should be working with farmers and operators as partners in developing positive solutions—not as adversaries coordinating with groups that seek to dismantle farming altogether.
