Ben Tindall, Save Family Farming Executive Director, issued the following statement regarding the news of Rep. Dan Newhouse’s letter to EPA chief requesting investigation into Region 10 office’s collaboration with anti-farm activist groups.
“While Washington state’s farmers continue to wait for action by EPA to rein in its out-of-control bureaucrats in the Region 10 office, we are encouraged to see Congressman Newhouse elevate this issue to top leadership in Washington DC.
“The damage caused to family farms, not to mention the larger community in Central Washington, at the hands of these rogue federal officials can never be fully undone, but it is critical to first stop the harm they continue to pursue.
“We will continue to highlight the falsified science, the records manipulation, the abusive litigation and the backdoor coordination with anti-farm activists. EPA Region 10 has actively pursued an agenda to harass and destroy the livelihoods of hard-working farm families. That campaign must be stopped—completely and permanently.
“The public needs to see the truth of the war these powerful bureaucrats have waged against families who work day and night to produce wholesome food here in Washington state. We won’t rest until the truth is exposed and justice is done.”
