It’s vital to farmers and our food system that the H-2A visa program remain a viable option for guestworkers.

Guestworkers make up about one-third of seasonal farm workers in Washington State. Giving farmers the opportunity to employ them allows our farmers to continue to produce top-quality fruits and vegetables, and also allows the workers to better the lives of their families. For example, guest farmworkers from Mexico can earn more in four months in Washington than they could working for five years in their home country.

Save Family Farming believes helping guestworkers helps our farms. We have developed tools to help navigate the information about the H-2A visa program and a way for you to contact legislators to ensure the program stays the same.
